SPLASH OF COLORS
I’ve always had a soft spot for colors. Whether it’s in the food I cook, the clothes I wear, the objects I collect, and the things I admire, colors are usually (read: invariably) part of the equation. With India being almost always exalted and celebrated as the country of colors, friends and acquaintances had assured me before heading there that I would finally be in color heaven.
In India for an unrelated business project with a company headquartered in Bengaluru, the capital of India’s Southern Karnataka state, I was curious to explore during my time in the often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India how the traditionally colorful representation of India that reigns supreme in the Western imagination interwove with the reality of this rapidly changing country.
The Splash of Colors series articulated around a succession of triptychs reports on this investigation and is a reflection of it.
